SAN PEDRO CACTUS, TRICHOCEREUS PACHANOI, & PERUVIAN TORCH
August, 2010
What's for sale:
• Rooted double San Pedro tips (2 in a pot) • Supersize wild Andes 3-years old - "must have" addition to any collection. • 2-Regular size wild Andes seedlings are big, healthy and blue • Seed grown standard Peruvian Torches (3-4 years old) that were up-potted earlier this year. I'll have to do an updated photo for you - but I'm sure you'll be pleased by the size & health!
Double San Pedro Tips
Well rooted - two in a 5.5" square pot.

The tips were harvested last fall then set in potting soil October, 2009. They sat dormant until roots formed this past spring. You may let them grow a while in the existing pot or repot to a larger container now.

Size and weight vary with each specimen but photo is typical of what you can expect to receive. In fact, this is the batch for sale.

$34.95 each

Supersize Wild Andes
I have about a couple dozen of these extra large specimens reaching 7" to 8" and weighing around 2 1/2 lbs. They are in 5 to 5.5" square pots.

These are the best of the best; the biggest & fattest ones I have. Sold as single specimens.

• 2-Wild Andes (regular size)
(unnamed variety of Peruvian Torch)
August, 2010
Now 3 years old these are ready to double in size this season. Very healthy specimens. You can see the vigor from the one held in the photo at left.

Packed in the container for your convenience. Just up-pot when you have time.

Genetic variations from this wild strain are so interesting I've written a page about this topic.
Seed grown Sacred Cactus
• Standard Peruvian Torch   • Wild Andes
Four years ago I mailed cash to Peru for Peruvian Torch seeds. The following year I obtained seed collected in the wilds of the Andes mountains. These are the real deal grown from that seed.

I'll ship you a larger one than these; they've grown larger!

Peruvian Torch $23.95 each
(Below) These rocket when given large containers such as 6 to 10 gallon size, or planted in the earth if you live in a zone 9 area.

Wild Andes 2 for $21.95

Actual photo of the harvest from a mature "wild Andes" variety. The gentleman holding the tips is the one who harvested seed, sent it to me, and now you can buy the 3-year old seedlings from me.

How to mix potting soil
Let the plant specialist cat Dustball show you her how to tutorial about breaking up the root ball to allow new growth. I whack at it with a bench brush, but you can use your fist and fingers to tear the roots free. More...

EEEK! Insects! Are they good or bad?
May, 2009
Those are good insects! Thousands of these are crawling over my plants inside the greenhouse. They are everywhere this time of year. Do you know what these little bugs are? More...
